Venezuela is the country of beauty and colour, large cities like the capital of Caracas, exotic islands in the Caribbean, wide open fields, Amazonian rainforests, rugged mountains... Venezuela is called "the land of contrasts", due to its colourful landscape that differs from one part to another.

Angel Falls is perhaps the World's highest waterfall, located in the southeastern part, where the famous "tepuy" mountains can be found. If you find a good tour operator, you can get a good look of the place by hiking on foot, taking a boat trip, even by flying.

The rural areas, the Andes mountains, the big cities (Caracas, Maracaibo, Mérida, Ciudád Bolívar, etc.) offer specific attractions, but one has to take precautions for security and be very smart when planning the trips.
