 Ottawa is the capital of Canada. It has over 800.000 inhabitants, but the metropolitan area is over 1,1 million. Canada's 4th most populous urban area is the Ottawa area. The city is renowned for its old architecture. Here you will see older buildings than in Toronto, Montréal or Vancouver. Ottawa is a flat wide city with an area of 2.778.64 km2 (1,072.9 sq mi). Compare this to New Yokr city, which is less than half of this! And that's only the city center of Ottawa! The metropolitan area is double that size! You will need a rented car to get around, as the homes, hotels and almost everything is far far away.
