Malmö (Sweden) Travel Directory

Sweden's southernmost big city, famous port and industrial center, serves as a land and sea gateway to the country.

The population is over 250.000 in the central area and close to 300.000 in the municipal region.

If we had to name a main attraction, then it would be Malmöhus Castle, a beautiful fortification with reddish walls, still in excellent condition. The town hall, the port, Řresund Bridge and the famous Turning Torso luxury apartment block are other interesting elements of Malmö.

This city can be reached directly by road, despite the North Sea being in between, you can cross the Řresund Bridge either by car or by train. The latter circulates every 20 minutes. This bridge connects Sweden's Malmö to Copenhagen, the Danish capital.

Intercity trains connect Malmö with major Swedish cities like Stockholm, Gothenburg, Kalmar.
