This big city of 2,4 million is Cuba's famous capital, as we know it.

Characteristics are the "yank tanks" (old american cars from the 1950s and 1940s), colourful old houses, colonial architecture, beautiful old churches... The gigantic "El Capitolio" is the Cuban capitol building, it resembles the one in Washington DC.

The urban area of reaches to more than 3,7 million. This makes Havana or La Habana as the Cubans call it, the biggest city in the Caribbean region.
Interestingly the Cuban capital lies just about 150 km across the sea from Key West, Florida.

This city holds some of the country's most important historical sites and monuments: the Real Fuerza Fortress, the El Morro Fortress, the San Carlos de la CabaƱa Fortress are 3 major fortifications; the Museo de la RevoluciĆ³n, which is in a 1920-built old spectacularly beautiful building which was decorated by Tiffany & Co. from New York (it used to be the Presidential Palace until 1959); the El Capitolio; the Great Threatre of Havana;
