 700 km northwest of Buenos Aires lies Córdoba, the capital of the province with the same name. It is located at the foothills of the Sierras Chicas and on the banks of the Suquía River. About 1,5 million people live in Córdoba and it is a culturally rich, economically prosperous city. The first Argentine university was founded here by the Jesuits.
