 This fantastic place is one of Mexico's primary travel attractions. A "must see" when on the Yucatán Peninsula. Chichén Itzá is a Maya archaeological site pyramids and a series of other stone constructions. Impressive technically, but artistically as well. Temples of various sorts can be visited, the architecture is unique indeed. But, you might get terrified when finding out of the human sacrifices that were made "please the gods" by the ancient Maya people. Sadly, much of the beautiful, interesting constructions were made for offering sacrifices. Apart of the terrifying past, this is a beautiful place to visit. You will see tourists roaming everywhere if you don't get here early enough. It's a great place for taking photos.
