 Canyoning is a new breed of adventure travel service/activity and is among the most unique ones in this category. This is a combination of outdoor sports involving walking, climbing, swimming and a series of other activities. Various sources mention canyoning as "canyon hiking" or "canyon trekking". And, in the United States, canyoning is often referred to as "canyoneering". We can consider it a sport, but it is one composed of multiple smaller branches/activities: hiking, trekking, swimming, jumping, climbing, canoeing and even diving in some cases... There were even cases when mountain biking was involved. Most canyoning activities consist of walking a long distance inside a canyon, which in many cases implicates swimming, crossing through deep water and jumping form rock to rock...
