 Barbados is situated in the southeastern Caribbean and is a popular tourist destination. A great place to cool down or heat up if you want to enjoy the nightlife. One of the most prosperous Caribbean Islands. Part of the Lesser Antilles, Barbados is close to the islands nations of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. Barbados' capital is Bridgetown, it is the home of more than half of the country's residents. Receives cruise ships, airplanes, has many hotels, shops, historical and cultural attractions. There are 5 main regions of Barbados, each one with their own specific attractions and atmosphere: Bridgetown (the capital area), Central Barbados, Eastern Barbados, Western Barbados, Southern Barbados. Barbados is a tropical island that has deep forests and mangroves, therefore also a good wilderness travel destination, not just one offering beach-related opportunities. |
